Since I passed the PPL course, so I’m moving on to the IFR course. I need to get the license to fly the airplane during the night even without considering the weather condition. I’m fine with it; I play around with FTD. Attitude, IFR, and flying You should fly with a good attitude without being arrogant. The most difficult student to teach was Indian. He is the youngest son of an Indian marble mining owner. He rides sports car, wears a gold chain, and walk-in with hip. It’s hard to accept seriously. A lot of the instructors did not accept him. Since I was the youngest, I had to be in charge of him. There is one good part of him. His attitude was honest. He came in the morning and I asked “What did you do yesterday?” and he told me that he partied. “Party~” He came next to me but the alcohol smell was bad Then you can’t fly? No, you can’t~ You can’t fly. I don’t like the macho style pilots, trying to show off. For example, the instructor told the students not to do, but there are students who always try it. Especially, red switch or lever; it’s red because it’s dangerous. But they still want to try it. Isn’t shut up valve also dangerous? It’s dangerous. Battery, ELT You shouldn’t touch the red ones while flying. It’s only for emergency situations. There are students who like red stuff. They are red. You earned the PPL. There are things that you can do and you cannot do with the PPL. Serving customers without getting paid. You were flying the airplane with a watch. If you want to pass the IFR course, you need to be upgrade from that level and serve the customer. Realistically, we can never control the climate by ourselves. If some situation happens and you went into the cloud, trust the IFR. So my favorite IFR is pork (pun in Korean.) There are three fundamental skills. These are basic skills. Don’t follow one IFR but crosscheck with another IFR to make sure. I realized that IFR is harder than VMC. I learned a little bit about the theory of IFR, but this is more formulaic and easier once you learn it. It’s a little bit hard to learn but once you understand it, it is easier to apply because there are fewer variables. For IFR, you need to follow the input and listen to the control system. Thus, there are no sudden changes. But the beginning is difficult because there are too many numbers.
