Live In The D: Family fun for Valentine’s Day

I was looking for a romantic way to spend Valentine’s Day but sometimes it becomes a family event when you have the kids that’s right our Kyla people’s found a few fun and adorable ways to have fun on Valentine’s Day the whole family take a look ah Valentine’s Day the day where you spend a lot of time perhaps a lot of money on the person who holds your heart and sometimes creating the perfect Valentine’s Day date includes bringing the kids so I found a few cool and affordable things you can do to celebrate Valentine’s Day as a family first is something that’s fun for all ages taking a tour of the Morley Chocolate Factory in Clinton Township which makes the Michigan classic Sanders chocolate [Music] people always joke that it’s like Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory it’s truly right here in Metro Detroit and you can see it for free the tour starts with a movie highlighting the awesome history of the company and then you take a look at hundreds of thousands of pieces of candy being made they’ll see 30 pound tubs of caramel being poured and melted onto a line and then it cuts some of these perfect squares and drapes them in a waterfall of chocolate unfortunately you don’t get to wear this cool hairnet or this cool coat but you can still see them on the other side of the class how all of this chocolate is made when they come here it’s you know it’s so many senses they’re sniffing the air the visual the smiles they of course get a taste free chocolate not only kids love it we have hundreds two-year-old kids who also love it it just is like a nostalgic family outing next is something the older kids would enjoy snag some pizza and play video games at papanov world in Detroit’s Cadillac Square to cool things about this place is the pizza is affordable you can even buy it by the slice and it’s the way to show your kids how you can beat them at certain videogames see win-win [Music] if you want to get out and about you can go to pretty pony pastures in Davis bird to pet a pony like a real pony this is a teamwork event parents guide the horse as the kids ride and don’t worry these ponies may look big but they’re sweethearts they love the kids sometimes I think that makes their day is to have the kids come in and love on them they hug them they pet them they give them treats and the horses just stand there and just eat up the love so they’re a few ways you can celebrate Valentine’s Day because having a happy v-day should be a family affair [Music] my heart that story and if two three I’m listening pet a pony day is this Saturday it only costs $18 for your child to ride they have to be four to twelve years old if you miss the ride this time that’s okay because they host a themed pet a pony day once a month until November
