What to do for Labor Day Weekend in Seattle, WA

What to do for Labor Day Weekend in Seattle, WA

– Hey, are you wondering what to do this coming Labor Day weekend? Well, we’ve got some
great ideas for you guys. I’m Steve Hill, and
this is Sandra Brenner, with Windermere Real Estate. And so, there are lots of
things to do in the area. Of course, there’s always the standard, Bumbershoot is happening, there’s lots of music,
food, entertainment. I mean, it’s just a ton of fun. And, of course, there’s
two fairs to choose from. We have the Evergreen
State Fair in Monroe, and of course, the Washington
State Fair in Puyallup. Which I understand we don’t call it the Do the Puyallup anymore? – No, they changed Evergreen State Fair, which I think– – No, Evergreen is in Monroe. – Oh, I mean, I don’t even
know what it’s called now. But they used to call it Do the Puyallup, which I loved and now they don’t do, and it’s some other
thing, but it’s still fun. – It is a ton of fun. – Aye. (Sandra laughing) I’m supposed to do a pirate accent now for the Pirate Cruise on Lake Union. It’s a 50-foot boat with pirates on it and it lasts over an hour, and it’s supposed to be a lot of fun. I might try it, it sounds cool. – You could be Pirate Steve. – I could be. – And then,
– Aye. – Yes, oh my goodness. And then you could also take an antique train ride in Snoqualmie. Maybe I’ll take George to that. My husband loves trains. But yeah, visit the
Northwest Railroad Museum, it’s a ton of fun. And then, of course, you could also head South and
go to the Point Defiance Zoo. They’re having their End of Summer Blast, which I hate those words,
though, end of summer. – Well, it’s the beginning of fall. – That’s true. – And the other thing you could do is go to Northwest Trek in Eatonville, if you happen to be down south, and they’re having their end
of summer event down there. – Yes, or if you would
like to do something local and be on the water, you could go to the Ballard Locks and take in their last three
concerts for the season. – Or, if you wanna go to an island, head north and go to Jetty Island and take a foot-ferry from Everett and that is the last day
they’re gonna be open. You can go there, have a picnic. I think the Scouts are
gonna take down the flag for the final day of their season. So, try that out. – You could always get out of town, there’s lots of things to do. You could go over to the Hoh Rainforest, or you could head over to Ellensburg and see a bunch of cowboys
and visit the rodeo, I almost said radio, visit the rodeo. But anyhow,
– But you could listen to the radio on the way to the rodeo. – You could do that. Anyhow, have an awesome Labor Day weekend. – I’m Steve Hill, and
