What we did for Chuseok! Korean Thanksgiving Holiday?

Hi I’m Nichola Hi I’m Hugh This is Yul he is really grubby at the moment (and grabby!) we are in the countryside because we came back for Chuseok Are you okay? I’m okay Are you okay? So Chuseok is a really big important holiday in Korea so we came back to the countryside to Hugh’s parents’ place and we ate lots of delicious food Yul tried to touch everything We did the Jesa ceremony for deceased family members which is an important part of Korean culture What else did we do? We made a video with Sara So also, our friend Sara and my sister came with us as well Some of my family and our friends, and your family We are collecting acorns and pinecones to make Autumn displays and chestnuts What have you got Sara? I have many I’ve got some in my bag here I’m going to make an Autumn display Autumn display! Wow look at these ones! What are these? Chestnuts? Do you want to put them in my bag? Hugh doesn’t understand why we are doing this Thank you We are foraging for wild supplies As you can see here, in the wild grasses we have the cap of the acorn this is useless makes an excellent Autumn display centrepiece You nearly got it buddy He’s like “if you do this then the food goes in the mouth” that’s so cute here is a banana here we go oh he’s standing! look at it – woah he’s standing! This is just a quick little video, showing some of the stuff that we did when we came back to the countryside to Chuseok So it’s been nice to come back to the countryside and breathe the fresh air the nice fresh air after being in Seoul and Yul has had a very good time, he is covered in stuff he’s had lots of attention Is that daddy? daddy? and there’s mummy mummy! hi! 1. I'm procrastinating working on my chuseok video by watching yours hahaha What a lovely few days though! Still can't get over how cute Yul was with the chopsticks

  2. What a nice video! Looks like everyone really enjoyed their time โ˜บ๏ธ
And Yulโ€™s little wave at the end was so cute!

  7. I love that age. They are always grabbing and putting things in their mouths then and their mobile so you have to watch them like a hawk. Where I live we have two kinds of oaks but they are live oaks with tiny acorns. I could hike out into the canyon and get some for autumn displays the rest I'd have to buy since leaves don't change colors here like colder climates.
